The Weaver’s Light

 Sharron McAdams  Ph.D

Sharron McAdams writes with the quiet authority of someone who has walked through both shadow and light—and found God faithful in every season. Her stories illuminate the strength of redemption, the dignity of the human heart, and the enduring presence of the Divine, even when He seems hidden.

In her Christian novel, McAdams brings the ancient world to life, making it feel immediate and vibrant. She captures the earliest generations of humanity with emotional depth, reverence, and imaginative clarity. Her characters are flawed, searching, and brave; their journeys echo our universal longing for identity, belonging, and grace.

Her debut novel, The Redemption of Eden, invites readers into the world after the Garden—where innocence has been lost, but hope has not been extinguished.

Rooted in Scripture and shaped by a lifelong love of storytelling, Sharron McAdams writes to remind us that even in our most fragile moments, we are seen, we are held, and we are part of a story far greater than ourselves.

Sharron McAdams  holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Creative Writing.

INTODUCTION

 The Redemption of Eden

This is a work of fiction inspired by truth.

It is a story shaped by Scripture, stirred by wonder, and written with reverence for the God who speaks life into dust and calls beauty out of ruin.

The Redemption of Eden was born from the earliest chapters of Genesis—those holy, haunting pages where the world is still young, where the first love is tested, where sin enters like a shadow, and where mercy is already moving, even before humanity knows it needs saving. These events are ancient, but they are not distant. They still echo in every heart that has ever wrestled with pride, fear, longing, and the ache to be made whole.

This novel does not attempt to replace Scripture, reinterpret it, or add to it. The Bible stands complete and sufficient, and I honor it as the foundation of my faith and the truest story ever told. What I have written here is an imaginative retelling—an artistic exploration of what might have been felt in the silences between verses, what might have trembled beneath the surface of the first family’s joys and griefs, and what might have unfolded in the unseen realm as heaven and hell contended for the souls of humankind.

At the center of this story is Eden—flawed, fierce, and searching. She is not meant to be a symbol of perfection, but of humanity: capable of love and defiance, tenderness and stubbornness, faith and rebellion. Her journey is not a straight line. Redemption rarely is. It is a slow, sacred unraveling of pride, a painful surrender of self-rule, and a return to the One who has been calling since the beginning.

If you find moments in these pages that feel unsettling, it is because the battle between light and darkness is not gentle. If you find moments that feel beautiful, it is because God’s mercy is always more powerful than our failure. And if you find yourself recognizing pieces of your own heart in Eden’s struggle, then you are exactly where I hoped you would be—standing in the place where truth meets grace.

My prayer is that this story will do more than entertain. I pray it will awaken awe for the Creator, compassion for the broken, and hunger for the Redeemer. I pray it will remind you that even when the world feels ruined, God is still writing restoration into the soil.

Because the truth that inspired this fiction is the greatest truth I know:

What was lost can be found.
What was broken can be redeemed.
And no heart is too far gone for the Weaver’s hands.

With gratitude, faith, and hope,
Sharron McAdams
